Swinging The Q's: Adding More Call Contracts on Open

Wacky Wednesday? If you are referring to the FOMC meeting/announcement, that is today at 2:15 p.m., not Wednesday. At least that is what the economic calendar at MarketWatch says.

    Good luck.

Wacky Wednesday is the Wednesday before options expiration week (which is this Wednesday.) On Wacky Wednesday you typically get your most volatility in option contracts for the current month. There is still a week left to go but there is not much time left. So most people that trade current month option contracts move to the next month by this day. You typically get all types of weird option movements on this day as well because of all the contract turnovers and changes.
